All about this vacancy

What are you going to do

 As a student assistant to the Head of Partnerships, you will:

  • assist the Head of Partnerships in outreach to partners & lead generation (arrange meetings, prepare documentation, take notes, maintain CSSci partnership list);

  • be responsible for logistics of events involving partners;

  • collect and analyse project feedback from students and partners;

  • prepare written or visual promotional material for partners.

What do you have to offer

We’re looking for a candidate with a proactive mindset and a passion for building connections to join our team. Ideally, you are:

  • Proactive and driven, with a can-do attitude — whether that means actively identifying new leads, managing our CSSci LinkedIn page, or bringing fresh ideas to the table for partner events;

  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage partners and stakeholders effectively;

  • Interested in lead generation, with persistence, creativity, and adaptability as your key strengths.

  • Comfortable with basic Dutch (preferred, but not required);

  • Excited to co-create and manage partner events that drive real impact;

  • Open to attending networking events, always on the lookout for new connections and opportunities;

  • Ideally based in Amsterdam during the summer months — even if just for a few weeks;

  • Available from the beginning of June;

  • Knowledge of the Computational Social Science programme is an advantage.

What else do we offer you

We offer a part-time employment contract for 12 hours per week for the duration of one year, with a trial period of two months. The UFO profile of student assistant employee applies. The Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities applies.

Also we offer…

 • a challenging position with varied activities and plenty of room for personal initiative and development at an inspiring organization;

• a position where personal initiative and input are highly valued;

• an enthusiastic and warm team that is open to new colleagues;

• an inspiring academic and international working environment in the heart of Amsterdam.
