The Department of Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam has two part-time teaching positions in Visual Anthropology. We are looking for two experienced teachers who will contribute in the Visual Track of the Master’s Cultural and Social Anthropology. Both positions will include supervising five individual MA theses in the Visual Track; this will consist of having regular meetings with the students, providing feedback and guidance in the research design, fieldwork, and thesis production phases, and assessing and co-assessing final theses (consisting of an ethnographic film and an essay).

We offer temporary part-time employment as Teacher (Docent 3) for 6 to 7 hours per week in the period from 1 October 2025 to and including 31 August 2026.
