Law for Health and Life is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support ongoing research projects within the Digital Health research group. The successful candidate will work closely with research staff to contribute to data collection, analysis, literature review, and report preparation.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and implementation of research studies.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication.
  • Support administrative and logistical aspects of research projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain clear documentation of all work.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields, e.g., Social Sciences, Law or Biomedical Sciences.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Prior research experience is an asset.

What we offer you

An engaging and supportive research environment with opportunities for professional growth and academic collaboration. The position is for 1.0 fte and for six months.  The position as researcher will start on 1 January 2026 or if particular reasons justify it, as soon as possible thereafter. The gross full-time monthly salary will be in accordance with the salary scales for a junior researcher at Dutch universities, scale 10 (Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities) ranging from €3.546 to €5.538 gross per month (full-time equivalent). Secondary benefits at Dutch universities are attractive and include 8% holiday pay and an 8.3% end-of-year Bonus.

Law for Health and Life strives to understand how legislation, regulations and policy influence health and how health, including environmental health and technological advances in the field of health, influences legislation and policy.
